General Rules
- Smoking is NOT allowed in the property.
- Pets are not permitted in the property.
- Do not use candles, table BBQs, fire pits etc .
- Always Turn off the air conditioning lock the front door and close the windows when leaving the property.
- This is a self catering apartment and no daily maid service is provided.
- Enjoy your Vacation.
Keys
For your own comfort and peace of mind please ensure that when leaving your villa that all windows are closed, shutters are left down, and all doors are closed.
When leaving your apartment on day of DEPARTURE please leave the set of keys on the table and close the door firmly behind you.
Any keys lost would result in you being charged for having a new set of keys cut and any necessary call out fees.
Alarm System
- To Deactivate the Alarm, place the fob against the button at the bottom.
- To Activate the Alarm. press the full shield on the right top button.
Swimming Pool
- Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult! We do not have a lifeguard, the board of directors or the owners cannot be held liable in any way for accidents in and around the pool. Parents are always responsible for the behavior of children in the community and in the pool. A lifebuoy is available, it should always hang in the same place and should only be used in case of emergency.
However, let’s not forget that there is only one real way to ensure the safety of children. And that is simply the supervision of an adult.
The pool’s operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The common areas are intended for the enjoyment of all owners and their guests, but please remember that the right to tranquility is also necessary. Therefore, please respect the Spanish siesta period and during the night from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
The doors of the pool must remain closed at all times due to the risk of drowning. Especially for young children, the pool can be a dangerous place.
From a hygiene standpoint, showering before entering the pool is mandatory. The use of shower gels and shampoos is not allowed. Wash off tanning oil and tie up long hair while swimming.
In the pool, only swimwear is allowed, such as swimsuits, bikinis, and swim shorts above the knee. Swim shorts preferably without pockets. If the swim shorts have pockets, they must be emptied before swimming. Topless exposure is prohibited in the common areas.
Children are allowed to wear special swimwear made of lycra or an additional white cotton t-shirt/top for sun protection. A colored t-shirt is not permitted as it may react with the chlorine in the water.
Children who wear diapers must be equipped with special swim diapers to access the pool.
The use of air mattresses and other inflatable objects is prohibited according to Spanish law, except for swim aids for young children. At Residentie Horizon, it is tolerated at your own risk! It goes without saying that these should not be left unattended in or around the pool and that the possibility of swimming must always remain available.
The pool area is a swimming area; soccer or rough play is not allowed. Only soft balls may be played with. Please do not shout; respect other pool guests.
Smoking and eating inside the enclosure and at the entrance to the pool are not allowed. Drinks are permitted; drinking glasses must be made of plastic. Any glass or metal objects are prohibited in the pool and on artificial grass mats to prevent cuts and bleeding that may contaminate the pool water.
Due to limited space and to protect the artificial grass, the use of sun loungers, chairs, and parasols is not permitted in the common area. Towels and beach mats are allowed. We are seeking a solution for the placement of sun loungers.
Respect the landscaping and lighting around the pool and on the premises. Anyone causing damage to trees and plants or to any other part of the complex is responsible for the payment of replacement, repair, or cleaning of such damage.
Non-owner residents are not permitted to invite people from outside the complex to swim.
Pets are not allowed in the pool garden
Rubbish
- Take all rubbish to the large rubbish containers in the streets around the property.
- Ensure the rubbish is put into the rubbish containers and not in the actual street.
General Community Rules
- Please remember to close the pedestrian gates and main doors to the buildings quietly.
- Please respect your neighbours and keep the noise to a minimum especially when leaving or arriving early in the morning or late at night. Loud music must stop by 11pm.
- Guests are not permitted to bring other people to the pool if they are not registered at staying at the property.
- It is prohibited to hang laundry on the railings of balconies and on the windows or facades. On the terraces, drying laundry is allowed on a standing drying rack that is collapsible and does not extend above the balustrade to prevent an “unsightly” view. In the front garden and on the rooftop terrace (attached to the boiler room wall), a Brabantia Wall Fix is allowed on the exterior of the building’s facade, but it is not permitted for the Brabantia Wall Fix to be visible on the front view of the community.
Mats and rugs may not be shaken or beaten from the terraces and balconies, the same applies to tablecloths and sheets.
Only flower pots with flowers and/or plants and garden furniture are allowed as objects on private terraces.
Airconditioning
- Please note that there are 2 vents in each airconditioned room. One blows air whilst the other sucks air in.
- Never cover the vents.
- How to operate using remote control:
- Point the remote at the control panel on the ceiling in the hallway
- Tap on the Start/Stop button and a green light should come on.
- The remote shows the different modes options. Click for which you require.
- Heat
- Cool
- Use the arrows to select the best temperature.
- The minimum temperature for Cold recommended is 22º.
- The maximum temperature for Hot recommended is 26º.
- Windows and doors MUST be closed to achieve the best results from the air conditioning machine.
- Allow 15 minute for the machine to activate.
- Please switch off the air conditioning when leaving the property.
Electricity
- The electric voltage for the apartments is 230.
- Inside the front door entrance is a plastic door which contains the fuse box.
- If a fuse is blown, try resetting the master fuse.
- If this does not work: –
- Put all fuses slowly into the down/off position.
- Leave for 5 minutes.
- Turn on the master switch.
- Turn them all on slowly one by one at a time.
- If an individual fuse blows the main circuit, leave switched off and notify the emergency number 0034 666290575.
Insects
Ants
- To avoid ants please where possible keep foods in containers or bags.
- Empty rubbish bins nightly to prevent any unwanted ants in your property
Mosquitos
- It is advisable to use a repellent especially at night.
- If you require the windows open at night due to the heat. Please ensure that you have the shutters down as this will allow the air to circulate and keep the room at a comfortable temperature whilst keeping the Mosquitos at bay.
TV
The television has International and Spanish TV channels .
Fire Safety
- In the kitchen there is a fire blanket and fire extinguisher.
- There is a smoke detector on the ceiling near the kitchen area. If there is a constant beeping. Please call the office on 0034 965290575 (Monday to Friday 09:30 to 16:00) to arrange for the battery to be changed.
Washing Machine
- Select Rapido wash on the large dial.
- Press right hand button Inicio in to start the washing machine.
- When the wash is finished, remove washing, and close the washing machine door.
Oven
- To operate the oven :-
- Select the left hand button for the relevant heating section off the oven
- Select the right hand button for the temperature.
- Extractor fan is switched on by the switch by the unit.
Terrace
Metal table and 6 chairs
- Ensure the chairs are left around the table on departure.
- The chairs must not be removed from the apartment.
