Los Alcázares is a charming seaside town located on the shores of the Mar Menor, Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon. The town’s beautiful palm-lined promenade stretches for several kilometres, making it perfect for a leisurely walk, morning run or evening stroll as the sun sets over the Mar Menor.

Local Tips

✔ Most shops close for a few hours during the afternoon (siesta), although supermarkets and shopping centres often remain open.

✔ Restaurants usually become busy from around 8:00 pm onwards.

✔ Tap water is safe to drink, although many visitors prefer bottled water.

✔ Contactless card payments are accepted almost everywhere.

✔ Sunscreen is recommended throughout most of the year.
